Breviary of Alaric - 506 A code of law which has survived in numerous copies due to its intentionally wide distribution throughout the realm of the Visigoth kingdom of Toulouse, which stretched from modern-day Spain to Paris. The Visigoths, including the kingdom of Toulouse, were defeated by Clovis I in 507, during a battle at which Alaric II was killed.
