Strangle Definition:

To interrupt breathing by interference with the windpipe.

In Thomas v. Seaside Memorial Hospital, Justice Wilson of the California Court of Appeals adopted these words:

"Strangle ... means ... to stifle, choke, or suffocate in any manner; esp. to interrupt the breathing of, by entering the windpipe."
