Legal International Evaluation Society Law School

Law School Self Serve sign

This is an interactive Law School brought to you by Duhaime.org and by the Legal International Evaluation Society (L. I. E. S.).

What Is L. I. E. S.?

L. I. E. S. is the official accrediting body of all credible law schools.

In fact, you are advised not to attend any law school without asking them if they are L. I. E. S.-accredited.

Another World First

The L. I. E. S. test is scored on a scale of 0 to 180. Right now, you have 0. We'll post your score at the top of the page as you go along.

What other education facility in the world will give you a runnning score even as you write the test?

None!

This is yet another Duhaime.org/L. I. E. S. world first!Lloyd Duhaime

Click here if you'd like to cheat and get right up to, say, 50 to start! And why not! You know you're smarter, quicker and more devious than all the rest!

Successful completion of this online program will mean instant recognition by law societies around the world of our choosing (so far, we haven't chosen any but feelers are out there) and the legal authority to charge $400 for each hour of your intellectual engagement.

Any person caught charging more than $399 for an hour of their intellectual engagement and not accredited by L. I. E. S., or a member of a plumbing, engineering, architectural, medical, teaching, patronage-appointee, political, judicial, gambling, electrician, vehicle mechanic, vacuum-cleaner repair, dry-waller, zoo-keeper or athletic professionnal association, may face criminal charges.

United Nations Recognition

We asked the United Nations to formally recognize L. I. E. S. and while we have been waiting eleven years for so much as an acknowledgemnt, we have every other reason to expect a favourable reply. So, for the record, we are not yet, technically, part of the United Nations.

As evidence of the international standing of the L. I. E. S. Law School, we received the following very genuine and emotionally-charged e-mail on May 29, 2001 from somewhere ... hmm, let's just say South of Russia....:

"Dear sir: I want to get education in your Institute. Unless otherwise noted, this article was written by Lloyd Duhaime, Barrister, Solicitor, Attorney and Lawyer (and Notary Public!). It is not intended to be legal advice and you would be foolhardy to rely on it in respect to any specific situation you or an acquaintance may be facing. In addition, the law changes rapidly and sometimes with little notice so from time to time, an article may not be up to date. Therefore, this is merely legal information designed to educate the reader. If you have a real situation, this information will serve as a good springboard to get legal advice from a lawyer.
